Love Strictly Come Dancing? Of course you do. Then you’ll know the answer to the simple question you’ll need to answer to win £100 worth of gorgeous Uttam and Yumi fashion goodies.

Uttam and Yumi are loved by celebrities such as Alesha Dixon, Myleene Klass, Amanda Holden, Sienna Miller, Fearne Cotton and ex-Spice girl Geri Halliwell dresses daughter Bluebell in Uttam Kids.

Eastenders Charlie Brooks received her Inside Soap award for Best Bitch (as Janine Butcher) last month in a Yumi Cream Lily Bobble Dress!

The competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 13 October so if you want to enter, you’ll need to be quick. And if you love Uttam as much as I do and can’t wait to find out if you are a winner, then there’s free postage up until Sunday night.

Just click on the link to the right of this article to enter the competition.

Alesha survives and Jo hits rock bottom

What  a week at Strictly it’s been. Poor Alesha has been hammered in the press with calls for her to leave the judging panel. She’s been called useless and semi-literate and just there as decoration. Every now and then she laughs like a drain and says something silly – isn’t that why we loved her two years ago? – but most of the time she sounds as though she understands what it’s like to be a competitor. Personally I think she’s OK. She made some valid comments tonight. And if she learns to crack jokes like Len comb-over Goodman and say SEVEERRN, she should be fine.

Poor Jo on the other hand. I had great hopes for her, who like Lynda Bellingham, is a woman of my generation and a real Rock Chick to boot. She looks so good for her age – I apologise for the cliche – and has had to put up with wrinkly Ronnie going off with a Russian girl called Ekaterina, a slip of a thing young enough to be his grand-daughter and 13 years younger than his step-son. I just don’t understand what she sees in the millionaire Ronnie Wood (as Mrs Merton once said to Debbie McGee about her husband Paul Daniels). It’s obviously not his looks. Perhaps she found him attractive when his response to an argument was apparently: ‘F*** off home, you s***.’ Beautifully put Ronnie. Such class.

Anyway that’s not what I meant about hitting rock bottom (though Ronnie’s old rock bottom deserves a slap or two). No, poor Jo came bottom of the leader board on Strictly tonight after she and partner Brendan Cole’s tango was marked down as being sloppy and weak. Never mind, there’s still the Latin tomorow night and anyway her mum loved it.

As for who is going to go out tomorrow. I haven’t a clue. We’ll have to leave that to the great British public to decide, but whoever it is, it won’t be Alesha.

Having a bad hair day Claudia?

girlznight professional hair and beauty

In case I haven’t mentioned it already about six times, I LOVE Strictly Come Dancing. I love it better than X-Factor (sorry) or even Britain’s Got Talent and definitely better than I’ll be a Celebrity When I get Out of Here. As for Big Brother? Don’t even get me started.

But even though I love the show itself, I almost prefer It Takes Two every weekday night at 6.30 on BBC2 with Claudia Winkleman. I was even late for my Aerobics class tonight because I didn’t want to miss any of it.

Claudia almost always looks fab, but tonight, all I could think was, ‘What have you done to your hair? Having a bad hair day? Did you run out of time and quickly part your hair too far down on the wrong side, add a quick squirt of Elnett and run on set to the call of “1 minute to go Miss Winkleman” ?’

Alesha looked gorgeous and perfectly groomed (why does everyone keep criticising her? She wasn’t responsible for sacking Arlene), Darcey Bussell looked sweet and ladylike and Craig ‘chaa chaa chaa’ Revell Whatsit looked a lot healthier than he did the other night. He was even laughing and smiling. Even Matt and Martina were smiling. I wouldn’t have been. There were ‘others’ that should have gone first. Enough said.

Anyway Claudia. As I was saying. Have your hair cut back the way it was, all bob and trademark deep fringe. Then get yourself some hair straighteners (you can borrow my spare ones if you like) and we’ll look forward to a good hair day again soon.
